October 15

Hey!!! How’s it going? I’m doing great....life has been a little crazy and gogogogogo but we just finished and things will be really calm for a week or so...oh starting with last Thursday, I can’t remember when we wrote last but we had the Rome zone conf and it went well then we went to Pescara to bring some missionaries home because one had just had his appendix removed so they didn’t want him on public transportation. Then on Saturday, Saturday we got a call from president that a missionary had left his companion down in Napoli so we had to hurry down there and he was doing just fine. He just needed some clarification on the rules and president handled it really well. Inspiration is awesome. Then on Sunday the ground breaking ceremony was announced for the temple....it will be on the 23 of October and president Monson is coming to do it. That will be way cool!!! Unfortunately missionaries aren’t invited and neither are the members, just bishops and branch presidents. President is trying to pull some strings for us as assistants to have us drive people to the site and drop people off because there is no parking and between the two of us we can drive like 14 people at a time in two different cars. But hopefully we will be able to at least drop him off but we will see. He will be going to a conf in Germany next week so he will probably leave us a handful of things to do. Then Monday we were in Napoli again for a zone conf and we got some Naples pizza (where pizza was invented) and it was amazing! Then on Tuesday we fixed some things and got ready for transfers and on Wednesday the greenys arrived. We picked them up and took them on a tour of Rome and then took them around to the office and mission home and ate dinner with them and did a training for them. Then Thursday was the crazy day (yesterday). It was the transfer day and it was when every one moved to their new cities and almost half of the missionaries in the mission had a new city. It went fairly smoothly but some missionaries got off the train in the wrong places and some busses and trains were running late but I think all the missionaries made it to their destinations smoothly. I’m staying together with my companion, but it looks like I’ll get a new comp on December 3rd. This morning we took all the finishing missionaries to the airport. It went well and we drove the big old van.(similar to aunt Sandy’s but bigger) and that was fun. Hopefully today we will be able to take as pday and get some shopping and cleaning done. Life is great and I am really enjoying myself. It’s not normal missionary work but it’s serving people in different ways that’s for sure. Anziano Pesci (old comp) is in my house now with his new comp anz Mack and that will be nice because he is very trustworthy and so we wont have to worry about a thing when we go on week long trips again.
Well I haven’t heard the talk yet by President Packer but sounds to me like he did a great job in standing up for what we believe in.
Yes mom, there sure are a lot of people with trials in this world but God knows each and every one of us and he won’t give us something unless we can handle it...sometimes he gives people trials to help them realize that they are nothing without him.(like humbling the Nephites) but in different ways in these days. Also, everything happens for a reason and one thing I have learned in the mission is that you never know how tall you are until you’re in over your head and when you find the times when you’re in over your head you can learn a ton about life and how to figure things out and approach situations to come. I’m doing fantastic and I’m really happy haven a great time doing the work of the Lord.
