September 15

hey! How is everything going? I’m doing great and life is good. Lately we have had a bunch of meetings with president and stuff because we have been given a new focus on things from the area presidency, and so this transfer we are bringing up district leaders and zone leaders to Rome for a three day training. Ohhhhhh yeahhhh on Monday we had a fireside with the Rome zone so around 20 missionaries....with guess who???....Elder M. Russell Ballard and Elder Rasband, Elder Causse and Bishop Edgly from the presiding bishopric.....wow what an awesome experience....it was amazing to have an Apostle look at me and the other missionaries and noticing him look into my eyes a few times while he bore his testimony of Jesus Christ...that was a really awesome experience. What a cool first few days in Rome huh.
Tonight we are going to Aquila to do a baptismal interview and that is the city that was destroyed by the earthquake last year. Pretty cool, but other then that life is good. I’m excited for these next few weeks because they are going to be very busy and we will be in Sicily and a few other places. The mission is changing the way it does things because the area authorities are changing stuff up. Anziano McDaniel is great and we get along really well and have fun while working hard.
The ward here that we are in is really full and there are lots of Italians and people from other countries...when they build the temple they will be building also a full size stake center because the church has to overflow into other rooms for sacrament meeting. It’s pretty cool. haha Rome is a cool city...it’s huge and driving here is very interesting... let’s just say the roads are not set up to great....but we do have a sweet gps in our car so all we have to do is type in where we want to go and it takes us there. Life is good and this transfer is only 5 weeks long but I’ll be staying....well I guess you never know anymore but I should be here through Christmas or something like that. Have a great week
